| Multipurpose Tile Mastic |
Multipurpose Tile Adhesive is a high strength, non-flammable mastic. It is especially formulated to provide high initial grab and no slip or sag. It is easily cleaned with water but water resistant when cured.
Multipurpose Tile Adhesive is used to set all types of ceramic floor tile, quarry tile, slate, pavers, mosaic and wall tile on horizontal and vertical surfaces such as drywall, backerboard, exterior grade plywood, concrete and existing ceramic tile. It should not be used for the installation of marble fixtures, or high lugged-back tiles. Multipurpose Tile Adhesive is for interior tile installations.

Surface Preparation |
Maintain adhesive and tile at room temperature (above 600 F) for 24 hours prior to and after installation. All surfaces must be clean and dry. Coatings, sealers, curing agents, and loose material must be removed prior to installation. All substrates must be secure and stable. New portland cement plasters must cure thoroughly prior to application of adhesive. |
| Application |
First cut away 1/4 inch of wall material above tub or shower pan. Fill this area and all openings around pipes with adhesive and let dry. Use appropriate notched trowel for specific tile to be installed. Apply no more adhesive than can be tiled in 30 minutes. Do not apply tile on adhesive that has skinned over. Press tile firmly into adhesive to insure at least 95% coverage of tile. Clean excess adhesive from the face of the tile with a dampened cloth or sponge. Grouting may be performed after 24 hours from installation. For thick applications, additional curing time may be needed. |
| Coverage | One gallon covers approximately 40 to 60 square feet depending upon trowel size. |
| Curing | Adhesive is cured in 24 – 48 hours. |
| Packaging | Multipurpose Tile Adhesive is available in 1 gallon and 3 1/2 gallon pails. |
